Family dispels Baby Gloria marriage breakup reports

The family of Ugandan singer and gospel star Baby Gloria has moved to calm speculation surrounding her marriage following viral claims that it was on the verge of collapse. 

The rumours, which spread rapidly on social media, alleged that Gloria’s husband, Jonas Mbaleka, was involved in a secret relationship with her sister, Jolly Mirembe Ssenyonjo.

In a post shared online, she wrote: “If I had her man I would be with her man now. Munzijeko akajanja,” loosely telling critics to stop spreading nonsense. 

The claims were first sparked by a post from Ugandan blogger Rita Kaggwa, who alleged that Baby Gloria had discovered WhatsApp messages between her husband and her sister, supposedly exchanged in secrecy. 

The blogger claimed that Jolly referred to herself as a “co-wife”, a remark that stirred intense debate online.

The rumour sent shockwaves among Baby Gloria’s fan base, with some recalling that on her wedding day, the singer had jokingly referred to her sister as a “co-wife” during light-hearted celebrations. 

Many supporters, however, urged caution, noting the absence of any direct confirmation from the couple.

Neither Baby Gloria nor Jonas Mbaleka has publicly responded to the claims. 

The couple last shared photos together on 12 January, appearing relaxed and smiling as they enjoyed lunch, a detail that has further fuelled doubts about the breakup narrative.
