Explosion in Nairobi leaves one injured

At least one person has reportedly been injured following an explosion in Nairobi, Kenya.

Reports by local media say a man had hired a cart pusher to carry a box when the luggage went off.

The device inside the box is suspected to have been an improvised explosive device, according to CGTN Africa.

The person who hired the cart ran away immediately after the explosion.

Police forensics analysis team has been deployed at the scene at Tom Mboya - Latema Road.

Police authorities are asking people within the Nairobi CBD not to move towards the scene where the explosion occurred.

The explosion comes weeks after a terror attack on an exotic business complex in Nairobi which killed 21 people and injured scores.
