Ex-Miss Uganda Stella Nantumbwe talks BBA nude scenes, regrets and lessons
The 33-year-old says she was particularly pleased with her overall performance throughout the 2014 season before she was evicted on the second last week.
In hindsight, she feels she could have won the whole thing if it wasn’t for “poor strategizing.”
“It was so much fun…I survived five evictions, I am a legend I guess,” she said in a Youtube interview.
The show, however, had its downside, which Nantumbwe to this day, chooses to give little thought of.
Asked for instance, how she felt about the nude scenes taken from the house’s “shower hour” that flooded the internet, Ella said this did not affect her much when she returned home.
As House members, she said, they were aware of such consequences of taking part in the top-rated TV show.
“Of course, you are aware that the world outside is seeing everything happening, but you don’t know how they are reacting,” she said.
“So coming out of the house you have to prepare yourself for the hate and the love and whatever comes with it.”
On whether she regrets her nakedness being perpetually out in public, Ella turned the blame on the viewers, asking, “What were you guys doing in the bathroom with us? We had to shower… It is what it is.”
She added, “Overall, I have no regrets, My only regret if any, is that I did not do enough…I feel that I could have stayed and won. Big Brother exposed me to so many other African countries, my fan base grew exponentially and I got to meet a lot of great coaches and learnt a lot of good tips that I still use to this day.
Asked if she would consider going back for another season, Ella she has now outgrown the show.
“I have so many things going, I have children and family and I cannot leave them,” she said.
Ella is now an openly devout born-again Christian and actively involved in Church activities.
