A 27-year-old man was arraigned in court after being found in possession of seven rolls of marijuana.

Police said they found Evans Kidero Ochieng with the illegal drug valued at Sh70 on August 26 in Nairobi’s Njiru area.

The suspect allegedly tried to flee when he saw the police, prompting his arrest.

On searching him, the court heard, Kidero was found with rolls of bhang in his trousers pocket.

Kidero denied the accusations and was released on surety bond of Sh20,000.
