Police have intercepted their bus which had gone missing since Sunday.

The bus was intercepted in Mityana, about 70KM from Uganda's capital, Kampala.
Geoffrey Mwase, the bus driver, has been detained after disobeying lawful orders. Police said on Monday that he was unreachable.
Police Deputy spokesperson told local media that the driver had gone to his village to show off to his friends during the festive break.

The bus' registration plates had been plucked off.
Mwase will be charged with disobedience of lawful orders before the police disciplinary court.
“The driver was carrying out personal errands, far from what duty called him to do. And he has been arrested and bus impounded. He will accordingly be investigated," authorities said.
