Drama as 17 robbery with violence suspects escape from police custody

Drama ensued as seventeen robbery suspects mysteriously escaped from a moving police vehicle in Nairobi, on Friday.

In a report by Nation, the suspects had been arrested for robbery with violence and were being transported to an unknown location where they would be detained as they waited to be arraigned in Court.

Further reports say that police have launched a man hunt for the 17 suspects.

This comes a few months after six other suspects jumped out of a moving police vehicle in Migori County, as they were being transported to Migori GK Prison where they would be remanded.

The six jumped out of the vehicle and ran into a nearby sugarcane plantation in Uriri area. Two of the suspects were re-arrested hours later.
