The Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises (COSASE) has directed authorities including police CIID and Civil Aviation Authority to monitor former Bank of Uganda supervision boss Justine Bagyendas travel.

Bagyenda on Wednesday appeared before COSASE to explain the controversial closure of 7 commercial banks and was directed to present all relevant documents.
She was expected to appear before the same committee on Friday to produce inventory reports of the defunct banks but was a no-show.

The former Bank of Uganda supervision boss wrote to the governor of the central bank informing him that she won't be available for Friday's meeting.
"This is to inform you that I will be out of the country from the evening of 22nd November 2018 to attend to some engagements which I had confirmed before receipt of your letter regarding COSASE meetings," the letter reads.
