Cindy stings Sheebah: ‘Go help your friend Lilian’
While reacting to Sheeba’s reported claim that she helped revive the former Blu*3’s career through last month's music battle, Cindy said only Sheeba’s friends like Mbabazi need reviving; not her.
“If she is thinking of reviving someone, she should help her friends like Lilian Mbabazi. We know that they are close friends and her (Lilian’s) career has not been very vibrant. She should help that one, not me,” she charged.
Cindy was speaking on Wednesday evening at the sidelines of a dinner party she held to celebrate her performance at the music battle at Kololo, which happened three weeks ago.
Sheebah had her own after-part immediately after the concert on September 15.
Her party was attended by friends and colleagues, among them Lilian Mbabazi, a former bandmate of Cindy.
Speaking at the event, Mbabazi declared the Karma Music boss as the battle winner and praised her for dominating the show.
Mbabazi on the other hand, passed a veiled attack on Cindy, purporting that it was Sheebah who put her in the limelight.
“Yes, I sang with Cindy, and it's beautiful,” she said.
“You know she is a good singer, but even me I am a greater singer. But what I am saying is, you (Sheebah) gave a platform to Cindy; you guys sold out Kololo yesterday.”
But in her response on Wednesday, Cindy said it was because of her that the music battle was a big success.
“The reason I was there is that I was necessary for that event to happen. I had the numbers. My competitor has been having venues that are much smaller; so when they thought of a big venue they thought of a person who has done big venues and so they came to me,” gloated Cindy.
