Churchill show comedian appeals for help to undergo surgery

Churchill show Comedian and Media Personality Zulekha Suchn Otieno aka Zulekha Walalo Ajaab is appealing to the public to help her raise money to undergo surgery.

Through a Facebook post, the former Radio Maisha Presenter disclosed that she was scheduled to undergo an endometriosis surgery, after the doctor said the condition is getting worse day by day.

“Thank you Balozi Ntomo. Friends kindly help me raise funds for an upcoming urgent surgery that I have to go through. I was diagnosed with #Endometriosis and I have been battling with the condition for some time now. The doctor said it's exceeding day by day and that I should go for surgery to control the disease. Radio Maisha

During her radio days, Zulekha worked for Standard Owned Radio Maisha before she was poached by Kwetu Radio. Her stay at Kwetu Radio did not last long.

Endometriosis is an incurable but manageable gynecological condition and its symptoms are generally present during the reproductive years.

Endometriosis affects an estimated 1 in 10 women during their reproductive years (i.e. usually between the ages of 15 to 49), which is approximately 176 million women in the world. 

Following the diagnosis, Zulekha has joined the list of Kenyan media personalities battling endometriosis and raising awareness about it; among them Janet Mbugua, Jahmbi Koikai, Ciru Muriuki, Else Wandera, just to mention a few.
