Church orders couples to get "Genital Examination" before they can marry

Members of the Redeemed Christian Church will have to get the 'genital examination' before exchanging vows

The Redeemed Christian Church of God has ordered all intending couples to get "Genital Examinations" and general medical checkups before they can be allowed to marry in RCCG branches national-wide.

This is due to the church's strict policy on prevention of people with STI and incompatible genotypes from marrying each other.

Marital crises

The information was conveyed to all Pastors by the Assistant General Overseer. Among the reasons cited is the recurrence of cases of marital crises resulting from falsehood, especially in the case of undeclared or unconfessed reproductive/genital status.
