Bear with me if I sound rude-Leila Kayondo as she opens up on her mental health
However, celebrated musician Leila Kayondo chooses to differ from the status quo.
In a Facebook post, the singer has opened up on why new years day is not the fresh canvas of bliss for her like it is for other people.
According to Leila, her anxiety gets triggered when the year is ending as it comes with tragic memories.
Leila reveals that ever since she lost her parents in one year, with one dying in March and the other December, she is always scared at the end of the year.
She reveals that this did not leave her the same as they were her everything.
She based off this and asked everyone that might find her irritable or rude to bear with her.
“I always get nervous when the year is ending. Trust me! I am always soooo scared! Ever since I lost my parents in one year, one in March and the other on e in December. They were my everything. So please bear with me if you see me or call me and I sound rude. Am just dealing with anxiety,” she reveals.
In 2020, Leila Kayondo lost both her parents, at different intervals of March and December respectively.
Her father Yahaya Kayondo passed away on 19th March that year before her mother, Nnalongo Kayondo, also passed away in December that very year.
Leila rose to musical stardom as part of singing girl group Dream Gals, before attaining her own solo success.
