Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr has reportedly run out of Cristiano Ronaldo jerseys ahead of his presentation ceremony.

According to India Posts, up to 200,000 jerseys have been sold in 48 hours prior to the unveiling. The star will attend the official welcoming reception – Tuesday - at the Al-Nassr club

Also, over 30,00 tickets to the Marsool Park Stadium have been sold out, where he will sign a contract sealing the two-year deal and meet fans and media.

"Stores under the club witnessed huge turnout to buy the jersey. It is reported that about 20 lakh jerseys were sold within 48 hours of the sale of the jersey priced at 414 riyals", India Posts reported.

He arrived in Riyadh, accompanied by his family late Monday.

Al-Nassr coach Rudy Garcia said: “The signing of a player the size of Cristiano Ronaldo is extraordinary, and contributes to the development of Saudi football.”

Ronaldo arrived in Riyadh, accompanied by his family late Monday by chairman of the board of directors of Al-Nasr Club, Musli Al Muammar, his deputy, Abdullah Al-Amrani, and the CEO of the club, Ahmed Al-Ghamdi, as well as a group of children from the club’s fans.

The signing – which was announced by Al-Nassr on Friday - has been billed as kicking off a new era in Asian soccer.

The club’s president, Musalli Al-Muammar, said the agreement was “more than writing a new historical chapter”.
