An old man from Gachatha village in Nyeri County is nursing sodomy injuries at the Nyeri Provincial General Hospital after three unknown men raped him last Sunday.
Cigarettes
They robbed him of his handkerchief and Sh10, with which he was going to buy cigarettes before being gagged, overpowered and forced into the farm.
The three engaged in the heinous act in turns and only released him almost two hours later.
“They claimed it was punishment for not walking around with money. They took the only Sh10 I had and a handkerchief,” said the victim.
Traumatised
The grandpa is crying for justice and is asking local authorities at the Gachatha police station, where he reported the incident, to swing into action and bring the perpetrators to book.
The octogenarian is so traumatised, he says he can’t even use the shortcut by himself or send a child unless escorted.
“We are afraid and can’t even send a kid to the shopping centre for fear of being raped,” he said.
