8 Police Officers killed, 5 injured in IED attack

Eight Administration Police (AP) officers have been killed following an attack by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) along the Kenya- Somalia boarder.

According to reports, five other officers sustained serious injuries in the Saturday attack.

The officers were in a police car in Konton area.

Other reports said that the 13 officers who were on patrol in a land cruiser ran over a landmine.

The Inspector General of police is yet to issue a statement over the same.
