10 killed in a grisly accident along Jinja-Iganga highway

Ten people have died and scores injured following a grisly accident along Jinja-Iganga highway.

The accident involving two coasters occurred at Wandago Trading Centre on Sunday night when the vehicles collided head-on.

Local media reports that one the coaster buses was carrying worshippers heading to Iganga from Pastor Samuel Kakande's Synagogue Church of All Nations in Kampala.

An eyewitness told reporters that the accident was a result of overspeeding.

Casualties and dead bodies were taken to Jinja and Iganga hospitals.

Investigations into the matter have started.
