King Saha played for me 'Zakayo' before releasing it – Jose Chameleone

King Saha visited Jose Chameleone and played him the Zakayo song before releasing it.

"Actually before he released that song I was aware of it," said Chameleone of the song that was released to diss Bebe Cool. "He came and played it for me at my house and I was like, well, do your thing, you know better. And there is no way I was going to tell Bebe Cool that I had heard a song like that."

Chameleone, however, contracted himself when he said that Saha didn't tell him that the song was attacking Bebe cool.

Both singers are Chameleone's friends. He mentored Saha and was supported by Cool in the early stages of his career.

In a video seen by this reporter, the Valu Valu hitmaker noted that as long as music doesn't inspire violence and is respectful, using it to stimulate competition is okay.

He said he was impressed by Bebe Cool because the song didn't trigger him to do something bad.

Saha and Bebe have been nemeses for a while and reports indicate that the beef emanated from the former featuring in Tubonga Nawe project and not being paid for his work. Cool is said to have been in charge of payment for the song that was released for President Yoweri Museveni's 2016 election campaign.

In Zakayo, Saha sings: "Avoid hostility, Zakayo, worldly things are to be left behind, Zakayo... Greed, greed, greed... old age greed... let me work, so I never become like beggars... Zakayo, the toll collector... you have a frivolous approach to work."

Releasing his controversial list of top artistes in 2022, Cool said the song was average and it only became popular among those who didn't like him.
