Miss Uganda Hannah Karema was all smiles last evening after she emerged among the top 10 finalists in one of the categories at the ongoing Miss World pageant in India.

Her project came in 7th place behind Indonesia, Nepal, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Botswana.
Others in the top 10 in this category include Miss Tanzania, Miss Brazil and Miss Trinidad and Tobago.
In a video, Karema was seen smiling ear to ear and hugging fellow contestants.
Karema appeared rather surprised by the win, exclaiming, “I don’t even know how this came about.!”
Beauty queens from 120 countries are tussling it out for this year’s Miss World crown, and over the next three months, they will be taking part in different competitions before the grand finale on March 9, at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre.
Karema however, said that her project performance was likely to give her a big boost in the race.
“Beauty with a purpose is the most important competition in Miss World,” she said.
Her project, which she started early last year, involves among others, promoting menstrual hygiene in schools.
