Apart from family, she also had some friends who supported her, including notable figures in the entertainment industry.

They are Eddy Kenzo, Spice Diana and Fik Fameica.

Tumukunde has previously said Kenzo is a family friend. This was after allegations that she was dating him.

"I believe [their support helped] at some point... and I appreciate the fact that they supported me from the beginning up to the end and I'm super grateful," Tumukunde said of the support the trio offered.

Meanwhile, Hannah Karema Tumukunde continues to tell those who claim she didn't deserve to win to respect the process that led her to the crown.

"I can't blame [them]," she told critics, adding: "I did my part and I believe the judges did their best."

The first runner-up in the content was Cindy Sanyu's sister Martha Ademun. She was reportedly the crowd’s favourite because of how she responded to questions.

Cindy said, in her opinion, her sister ticked all the boxes.

But Cindy noted that they may have considered other factors the public may not be aware of.

"I saw that she should have won but I'm not an expert in that area... Maybe there are other things they looked at," Cindy said in a media interview.

Meanwhile, she also assured Ademun's fans that she (Ademun) is doing well and she has a lot to benefit from coming in the second position.

"She is happy," said Cindy. "She is at peace with where she is."

Cindy noted: "The position she got puts her in a position to enjoy as many privileges as Miss Uganda because they will be working together."

She added: "They are working together really well. They are friends with each other even at this point, so I was asking we support both of them as they do their work."

Meanwhile, Tumukunde wants to use her position to preach against early forced marriages.
