Karungi, better known as Sheebah, is the first vice president of the Federation.

The Kansalewo hitmaker said she never joined UMA because it couldn't solve her problems.

She also noted that it lacked leadership.

"There was no leadership... No," she said, nodding her head sideways.

"I wasn't in an association because it doesn't solve my problem... it's a federation that can. UMA is among associations that are under the federation."

Sheebah's claim that she wasn't part of UMA is false because at one point she was supporting King Saha in the race for the UMA presidency.

Saha stood against Cindy Sanyu. Sanyu and Sheebah have long-standing rivalry.

Sanyu reassumed the presidency of UMA in August 2022.

UMA's other leaders are Hanson Baliruno, the vice president; Allan Tonik, youth representative; Ronald Mayinja, band representative; Lord Bitemu, chief whip; Grace Nabwami, woman representative; Adrian Magala, PWD representative; DJ Kikofira, Kandongokamu representative; and Denis Lanek, religious representative.

Baliruno, who is the vice president of UMA, is a chief whip in the Uganda National Musicians Federation

The Federation’s leaders are Eddy Kenzo, who is the president, Shebah Karungi, the first vice president; Pallaso, the second vice president and Juliana Kanyomozi, the third vice president.

The Finance Committee is led by Bebe Cool, Research & Development: Daddy Andre, PR & Communications: Phina Masanyalaze, Special Interest groups: Moses Matovu, and Compliance & Regulation: Silver Kyagulanyi.
