Sharon O talks about 'dating' Ivan Ssemwanga, Zari finding out

At the time Zari's relationship with Ssemwanga was on the rocks and she wasn't happy to see him sharing details of their troubles with Sharon O, real name Sharon Angela Salmon Nalukenge.

After seeing the text messages, Zari, born Zarinah Hassan, took to social media to claim that the two were dating.

However, Sharon O, who was talking to Ruth Kalibbala Bwanika, said that they never dated though Ssemwanga had shown interest.

According to her, Ssemwanga met her through her little sister Becky. O used to operate a hangout called Blue Ice Bar which was located in Naalya, Kira Municipality, Wakiso district.

And her interest in meeting Ivan Ssemwanga, also known as Don Ivan, was to attract his group known for spending heavily and was self-styled as the Rich Gang.

"Ivan used to be my friend," said Sharon O while talking to Ruth Kalibbala. "I used to own a bar called Blue Ice and I always wanted to host the Rich Gang. I got to know Ivan through my little sister Becky."

According to her, Ssemwanga later picked interest in her but she declined because she knew he was married to Zari. At the time, Sharon had temporarily separated from her husband Ronnie Mulindwa, one of the founding members of Obsessions.

So, the text conversations Zari saw must have had a lot of details. She told Kalibbala that Ssemwanga loved Zari so much and it affected him a lot when they broke up.

"Zari could not believe that Ivan could think of wanting to see another woman or trying to date," said Sharon O.

Zari and Ivan Semwanga split shortly after their lavish introduction ceremony that was held in Munyonyo, Kampala in 2011.

Zari 'charged' Semwanga, who had initially brought 100 cows as dowry, 300, saying each 100 was for a child. They had three kids together.

He died on May 25, 2017.
