Sendi: Spice, Sheebah court controversy due to lack of cash for music promotion

Eddie Sendi believes Spice Diana and Sheebah Karungi are courting controversy as a marketing tool because they don't have enough cash to promote their music conventionally.

"From experience, there's no beef between Sheebah and Spice Diana. They just want to sell their brands through controversy ... It is all about 'talkability' and pushing their brands," said Sendi, a revered music critic, during a media interview.

"They have no money to advertise their brands."

Eddie Sendi was, however, quick to note that having no beef doesn't necessarily make them friends.

Meanwhile, Spice Diana didn't hide the fact that her new song titled "Twookya" is aimed at dissing her nemesis Sheebah Karungi.

"Twookya," which was produced by Bass Boi, with a video filmed by Jahlive, comes a month after Karungi remixed "Sipimika," the song by Young Mulo.

"Sipimika," whose video was made by Director Pest, was produced by Real Philbert and Hannz Tactiq, and written by Dokta Brain.

In an interview, when she was asked if the song is a response to "Sipimika," Diana said: "Let her enjoy it if she's the one you think it's targeting."

She said the song is about "fake feminists" and anyone living a "fake" life.

"We deal with a lot of fake people," she said, adding that such people should be confronted.

Asked about the possibility of a musical battle with Sheebah Karungi, Spice Diana reiterated that she can't battle with "lazy people."

In 2023, when she was asked the same question, she said: "Whatever it is, I don't need a battle. Only the weak battle because they are not sure of what they are."

The talented artist was asked following the battle between Karungi and Cindy whether she would fancy a battle, particularly with the Karma Music boss.

It's also important to note that Eddie Sendi also loves controversy.
