Ghetto Kids manager says Britain's Got Talent performance was filmed in 2022

Dauda Kavuma, the manager of Triplets Ghetto Kids, said their performance that aired on London, U.K.-based ITV during Britain's Got Talent's first live show of the 2023 series was filmed in 2022.

Their performance was so good that most major news publications in the U.K., including Daily Mail and Daily Mirror reported about it.

Kavuma, who is also known as Teacher, said they signed a non-disclosure agreement after filming, which is why they had never spoken about it.

Esther and Ezekiel Mutesasira, the children of singer Julie Mutesasira, also signed a similar deal for their appearance in Canada’s Got Talent Season 3 in 2022.

Teacher said they convinced the judges that they had a fan base in the U.K. and he believes it's partly where they were allowed to participate.

However, rules indicate that anyone that has a right to live and work in the U.K, Isle of Man, Channel Islands or Ireland is illegible to apply.

While speaking to Sanyuka TV, he acknowledged that he is not sure why they were included.

"We had never seen something like that and we didn't expect it," he said.

Simon Cowell, the creator of the Got Talent franchise, who was also on the judging panel, said the Triplets Ghetto Kids were the first contestants to get a golden buzzer mid-performance.

"We've never had that before," said Cowell.

Bruno Tonioli, a new judge on the show, pressed his gold buzzer mid-performance as the Kids showcased magical dance moves to Mi Gente by J Balvin and WIlly William.
