The Miss Tourism Uganda pageant continues its search for regional representatives, with Fortunate Muhindo recently crowned Miss Tourism Rwenzori.

The 22-year-old emerged victorious in a competition held at Uhuru Gardens Hotel in Kasese District, outperforming five other contestants. Muhindo impressed the judges with her knowledge and passion for tourism, setting her apart as the ideal representative for Rwenzori at the national level.

Shivon Muganda was named the 1st runner-up, followed by Beatrice Masika Byakutaga as the 2nd runner-up. The competition, part of the broader Miss Tourism Uganda initiative, seeks to identify and promote young women with a deep understanding and love for Uganda's rich cultural and natural heritage.

The regional contests are a prelude to the grand finale, which will take place at the Kampala Serena Hotel on September 14, 2024.
