Her body was returned home yesterday, Saturday, June 8th on a Uganda Airlines flight.
Gloria, according to family members, succumbed to colon cancer on Monday, June 3.
She died surrounded by her friends from the Ugandan community living in the United Arab Emirates.

Her sister Hanifah Kyomugisha told reporters that Gloria put up a spirited fight through the months that she was bedridden.
Fought to the end
“Initially, she did not even inform us that she was sick because she knew we were going to ask her to come back home,” Kyomugisha said.
“All along she was strong and she believed she was going to beat the sickness; she had a dream of building her mother a house. She always told me she was going to be fine. She never cried or complained.”
Gloria put up a spirited fight to the end according to her family
The family expressed gratitude to the Ugandan community in the UAE and even Tiktokers and well-wishers from Uganda, who extended all kinds of support to Gloria until her last day.
Many contributed funds to help with the hospital bills and other requirements.

Gloria will be laid to rest at her ancestral home in Mirama Hills the South Western Ntungamo district.
