Details have emerged about the death of Ugandan photographer Saad Byakuleka, professionally known as Saad Shots, who tragically passed away in a motorbike accident on Good Friday.
The accident occurred in Entebbe at the Bugonga junction, near the airbase, where Saad was involved in a head-on collision with another motorbike rider
Coroner’s Report Confirms Cause of Death
On Sunday, during Saad’s send-off at his home in Kazo district in western Uganda, his brother, Alex, provided details about the cause of death.

He told mourners that the coroner’s report has concluded that Saad suffered blunt trauma to the head, which killed instantly.
“The report says the approximate interval between onset and death was instant, and the condition directly leading to death was blunt force trauma,” Alex explained.
According to the coroner, the cause of death was the result of Saad’s head impacting the tarmac, which caused fatal injuries, leading to his immediate death.
The family also clarified the cause of death for those who had questioned the details.
“We therefore call upon the people who have questioned the cause of death to be at ease,” Alex added, putting to rest any lingering doubts.
There had been some questions surrounding the exact circumstances of his passing, but the post-mortem report cleared up the confusion.

Saad’s Family and Legacy
In addition to the tragic news of his death, the family revealed that Saad had left behind one son.
They also mentioned another child, he was reportedly rumoured to have sired years ago during his time in Mbale, Eastern Uganda.
