Sheila Muwanga, one of the children of the late Bulayimu Muwanga Kibirige, better known as BMK, has taken to social media to vent about the ongoing legal fight between her family and businessman Godfrey Kirumira.
Sheila, a wellness content creator, last night posted a series of videos accusing Kirumira, a former close friend of her late father, of “coming after” his family and the property he left behind.
She revealed that she and her siblings were “living in fear of what might happen next” after an alleged attempt to arrest one her brothers, Ali Muwanga.
Sheila said her brother, who is also BMK’s heir, narrowly survived being arrested when he went to visit one of the family properties under contention and that his security guards were brutally beaten up.
The property in question entails a set of apartments located on Plot 46 Mulamula Road in Buziga

According to Sheila, the apartments were staked as collateral by Haruna Kalule Muwanga, one of BMK’s sons, to take out a substantial loan from Yako Bank.
It was later established in court that Kalule used forged titles of the property to secure the loan.
Upon failing to pay it back, he reportedly fled the country.
The bank then moved to sell the apartments but later on sold the loan to tycoon Kirumira.
“This is my father’s friend, and the Chairman of Kwagalana Group is now working day and night to take what belonged to him, and yet back in public they used to call each other brothers”, Sheila lamented in a video.
“The people you call your friends might be the ones waiting for you to die, and they take your belongings.”
Last week, she says, her brother had negotiations, and it was agreed that the Buziga property is split, with BMK’s family keeping one part and Kirumira the other.
However, over the weekend, she says, when Ali went to visit the property, he found his section locked.
“He broke the padlock and went to buy a new one to replace it, and that was when his guards were arrested, locked in the room and beaten up," she said.
BMK’s family insists that their elder brother Kalule fraudulently put up this property as collateral and that the creditors should be going after him and not the family.
Sheila promised to share more details in the due course about the clash.
