Victoria University Vice Chancellor, Dr. Lawrence Muhanga, has confirmed that businessman Frank Gashumba was today introduced to his fiancée’s family.
“Today, he has been officially introduced to his better half’s family in Ssembabule,” Dr. Muhanga posted on X.
“Big congratulations are in order, and believe me, the celebrations have only just begun.”

On marriage and being single: “You’d rather live a single happy life than a troubled married one… People are badly behaved,” he argued. “The most amusing thing is that women don’t get married to people they love… young ladies don’t get married to men they love; they get married to men who are ready.”
His advice to women married to men who are providers: “If you have a man who cares about you and provides for you, I beseech you, after worshipping God and your parents, praise him… respect him, because such men are hard to find. We’ve got lots of ne’er-do-wells, fake masters… we no longer have real men.”
On dates: “We are in an era of useless men. Most men are their women’s askaris [escorts]… There is nothing as bad as going out with a woman and you’ve not contributed anything to what she is wearing… That’s not a boyfriend — he is just an askari accompanying you to the event.”
On men who don't provide: “Men who don’t give deserve death. Because the Bible and the Qur’an specifically stipulate that women must be supported. Women must be given for/supported. There is nothing that makes a girl happier than receiving a Mobile Money message before she even asks for the money.”
On women who aren’t engaged: “Any girl that has no ring, whose boyfriend has never visited her home or been introduced, there’s nothing stopping her from having four boyfriends.”
