TV personality Haffy Powers has appealed to her fans who were upset with her departure from BBS TV to Next Media to take heart and be nice to her as she starts her new journey.
Powers on Friday expressed concern about a section of her fans who were not happy with her decision.
These, she said, need to be patient with her and make her feel at home in her new role.
“This is my new home…I am here on Sanyuka. Be nice to me. Do not be hurtful,” she said.
“I know there are some who are still upset with the move, but I know that in the end we shall all be good again.”

Past experience
Powers recalled that she faced similar backlash when she first joined BBS, replacing Diana Nabatanzi.
At the time, she faced a lot of abuse from fans of Nabatanzi who thought she was not a suitable replacement.
Many reportedly threatened to quit watching the station.
Eventually, however, she says they grew to like her more to the point that they were devastated by her decision to leave.
Powers said she will soon announce the new show she will be taking on at Sanyuka, and when she starts.

She is reported to be replacing Precious Remmie, who has co-hosted a morning show on Sanyuka TV alongside Adam Kungu Al-Mahadi.
Reports indicate Remmie’s focus on motherhood led to her departure. She has recently shared photos showcasing her baby bump.
In May 2024, she and her husband, Raymond Bindeeba, welcomed their first child together.
