For some time, the singer (real names Michael Mukwaya), has been rocking the high-top dreads with a taper fade. This is usually a street style eye-catcher, but for Mikie, it brought along some unwanted reactions from his fanbase.

Taking to Instagram over the weekend, the ‘Namata’ singer shared pictures of his new hair style, a proper tapered fade akin to that of his elder brother Bobi Wine.

The reason for ditching the trendy dreads, he explained, was because some fans had pointed out how they made him look like a certain artist.
“When you said that when I got my dreads I resembled that other person on the other side, I decided that that was enough, lest I end up being like him in other ways,” Wine posted.
No marks for guessing who the other artist is, nor why the resemblance would be found to be problematic to Mikie.
