Privah Eliberz Nuwamanya, known for cohosting the Capital FM's drive show with Oulanyah Columbus, has joined NTV Uganda as a news anchor.

A lawyer by profession, Privah has spent nearly six years in the media, working with stations like Radio City, See TV Uganda and Sanyu FM.

She also took part in a recent talent search by KFM, where she came second. Her strong performance in the competition may have caught the attention of Capital FM, which brought her on board soon after.

Her move to NTV Uganda comes shortly after Nation Media Group appointed Flavia Tumusiime as Head of Broadcasting. The 36-year-old now oversees stations such as Dembe FM, Spark TV, KFM and NTV Uganda.

Tumusiime had been hosting Desert Island Discs on Capital 91.3 FM before her promotion. Her new role was created after the company scrapped the General Manager TV position that Johnson Omollo had previously held.

The change in leadership follows a difficult period for the media house, marked by the loss of several popular presenters and efforts to revive Dembe FM, which had briefly gone off-air.

Flavia began her media career at age 14 on WBS TV’s Teen’s Club, and later joined radio at 18, starting at Hot100FM before moving to Capital Radio in 2006. She went on to work with Channel O for four years.

In 2015, she joined NTV Uganda as a news anchor and morning show host, before leaving in May 2021. Since then, she has remained a prominent voice on Capital FM, hosting the popular Desert Island Discs.
