Sheilah Gashumba named Influencer of the Year at ASEA awards

The awards that celebrate the lifestyle and social entertainment of Africans made announcements of the winners on Wednesday night.

The Mzansi based awards look at appreciating the ever-growing social media Platinumz and promoting the different lifestyles of Africans on other continents.

The awards that happened on Wednesday 15th December, 2021 happened via social media and the Pearl of Africa Uganda was represented by socialite Zari Hassan and Sheilah Gashumba who were nominated in different award categories.

The two Ugandans also happened to have collided in the same category of Influencer of the Year and their followers and fans had to vote for whom they thought deserved the award.

In this big category, Sheilah Gashumba aged 25, a socialite and influencer was the youngest nominee in this category and she was crowned the winner in the category on the night in the category.

Sheila beat people like Zari Hassan, Hillary Makaya, Nelisiwe Sibiya, Zim Laughter and Zim Finest Lips.

Besides being a television host, Sheila is an ambassador for many big brands and also a big brand influencer in Africa. With her profile and huge following on different social media platforms, it might be the reason she scooped the award from her competitors.

She is also one of the most followed and celebrated Ugandans on different social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat.
