Cutting-edge building systems showcased at Africa Business Forum

At the Africa Business and Investment Forum held at the Inspire Africa Coffee Park in Ntungamo, Uganda Baati showcased its commitment to Uganda’s industrial growth.

The company unveiled its cutting-edge Building Systems—SAFBUILD, SAFCOOL, and SAFSOLAR—designed to tackle critical infrastructure challenges impeding the country’s development. The solutions aim to accelerate industrialisation as part of the National Development Plan IV (NDP IV), which aims to grow Uganda’s economy tenfold.

"We have partnered with innovators like Inspire Africa Group, and we have designed, detailed, supplied, and installed 90% steel at the entire park,” said Ian Rumanyika, Head of External and Corporate Affairs at Uganda Baati.

SAFBUILD: A Modular Approach to Fast-Track Construction

Alongside SAFBUILD, Uganda Baati introduced SAFCOOL and SAFSOLAR to address Uganda’s pressing challenges with energy and temperature-sensitive industries.

SAFCOOL’s advanced insulation technology is ideal for agro-processing and pharmaceuticals, while SAFSOLAR offers off-grid, clean energy solutions. These initiatives help industries combat unreliable power supply and reduce their carbon footprint, providing a sustainable edge to the industrialization process.

Strategic Partnerships for Industrial Growth

The forum also highlighted the importance of strategic partnerships, business resilience, and infrastructure innovation to drive Africa’s industrialisation.

Keynote speaker Claver Serumaga from Equity Group Holdings emphasised that value addition is crucial for Uganda’s growth, while Nelson Tugume, CEO of Inspire Africa, praised Uganda Baati’s support for the park’s rapid development.

With ongoing efforts to enhance industrialisation under NDP IV, Uganda Baati is reaffirming its role in enabling sustainable, inclusive economic growth. The company’s innovations are empowering Ugandan businesses and industries to thrive in a competitive global economy.
