Colin Asiimwe has returned to MultiChoice Uganda as Head of Marketing, where he will oversee the DStv, GOtv, Showmax, and Pearl Magic brands.
Asiimwe, who previously worked with the company, is bringing back his expertise to steer the marketing efforts.
His career began in advertising, eventually shifting to strategy, with a wealth of experience in East Africa.
Asiimwe has worked across multiple sectors, developing innovative marketing campaigns that have driven growth and customer acquisition. His time at MultiChoice Uganda in 2019 saw him launch key innovations during the challenging COVID-19 period, including new shows and the Pearl Magic Prime platform.
Asiimwe’s knowledge of industry trends, strategic insight, and analytical skills have positioned him as an expert in navigating the evolving media landscape. He aims to align marketing strategies with business goals to drive growth and profitability.
Reflecting on the rapid pace of change, Asiimwe shared, “The time to adapt and hasten is upon us as a community and business environment.”
With a Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication and certification in digital analytics, Asiimwe is ready to tackle the TV industry’s challenges, including piracy and increasing competition. He looks forward to contributing to the growth of MultiChoice Uganda and the wider industry.
