Uganda police and army officers together with the local fishermen started the process of retrieving the party boat on Sunday.

The retrieval was part of the bigger operation to find more missing bodies after the tragedy.

Police authorities on Thursday said at least 5 people are still missing after referencing on the document of missing persons.

The owner of the party boat drowned and died together with other party-goers when it flipped due to the high tide of the lake.

Parliament on Wednesday declared Friday a national day of mourning following the tragedy.
