The Vanity hit maker said that he wanted it to be a secret because he is the one who knows the things his wife Farida Wambui likes, and the ones she does not.

“I planned the baby shower myself and invited her workmates and a few of my relatives. That has not happened before. It is always the other way round, but I chose to organize it myself because I wanted it to be private,” he said.

Owen added that he wanted it to be a secret because he also experiences challenges as a celebrity, despite having been in the industry for more than a decade.

“The difference between my wife and I is that in I am in the limelight and she is not. I understand her so well because even me, who has been in the industry for over 15 years, there are things I find tough as a celebrity, so I found it necessary to keep it a secret,” he said as he spoke to Word Is.

Daddy Owen whose wife is due in two months also said that he did not even call their friends about the baby shower because he knew Farida would know before the day came.

This comes after he organized a lavish baby shower for his wife in Nairobi’s Karen estate.
