While most of her female counterparts wore deeras and buibuis, Wema showed a more fashion-conscious approach to modest dressing in a stylish Maasai outfit.

The Bongo star disclosed that the outfit was from Elisha Red Label which is a Tanzanian fashion house that has dressed other celebrities like Hamisa Mobetto. She also revealed that she wanted to be different in her choice of modest clothing.

“I like being different and I knew that in this kind of event women would be in dishidashas and deeras and I knew I would stand out in this outfit. The point was modest dressing and I believe I adhered to the modest dressing rules expected of the event.” Wema explained to Wasafi TV.
