For the new generation, not only you’ll pick some life lessons but Navio’s bars are piercing.

The song was rooted and redone in appreciation of the good music that the late dropped before his candle burnt out over twenty years ago.

In this song, rapper Navio alongside the late great Elly Wamala come together on a project that identifies exactly what it means to be Ugandan. The song from the start brings back the classic memories of the golden generations.

Hamadi was first recorded half a century ago with good lyrics and vibes of uncompromising storytelling. Navio perfectly re-does the song with real real Hip-Hop bars and puts a story in there worth telling.

Unlike many watered-down re-makes and collaborations that have been made, this one makes no apologies. Elly Wamala tells a story of “Hamadi” and Navio tell us his own.

The song was produced by Aethan music from a simplistic beat and melody to a grand opus of clean Hip Hop sound. Hamadi was recorded by Baru and video shot by Sasha Vybz. The scenes in the video are simple and quality throughout which makes it a memorable gem to lead Hip Hop in 2023.

This is the first song playlisted on the “Vibes Out The East” project which comes after his ‘Pride’ album.

Navio is known for his hit songs like Nawuliranga, Njogereza, Ngalo, and Bangi – on which he features Flex D Paper, and Rare featuring Sheena Skies.
