Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) showed off some of its hardware at Kololo Airstrip as part of tax appreciation week exhibition.

For the first time, Ugandans came close to the Infantry Fighting Vehicles are known as "Nyoka" which are assembled and produced by Ugandan soldiers.

"Nyoka", a Swahili word which means 'snake', is one of the types of military vehicles being assembled at Magamaga Nyoka Conversion Centre in Mayuge district.

This type of military vehicle was first unveiled on August 8th during President Museveni's visit at the facility.

The 4x4 military vehicle can “withstand a single anti-tank mine blast anywhere under the hull”.
