Son of ISO director wants leniency after confessing to killing girlfriend
Brian Bagyenda has confessed to murdering his girlfriend Enid Twijukye, 22, last year.
He wants a lenient sentence and has since applied for plea bargaining, Daily Monitor reports.
Bagyenda, a 29-year-old pharmacist, is the son of Internal Security Organisation (ISO) director Col Frank Bagyenda Kaka.
Murdering Enid Twijukye
Last year, Bagyenda and other two accomplices, 'with malice' murdered Twijukye, according to prosecution.
The body of the 22-year-old university student was dumped in Seeta, Mukono District.
Bagyenda suffocated his girlfriend after reportedly finding pictures of her with another man after going through her phone.
"I killed her because I loved her so much that I could not allow her to get married to a Rastafarian.
"I learnt of her other man from the messages they were exchanging and what pissed me off mostly was Enid fixing a day to take the Rastafarian to meet her parents in Kiruhura instead of me," he reportedly told investigators.
