Ms. Tumusiime announced live on TV during her Morning at NTV show which she co-hosts with Malaa and Kyamagero.

She told Malaa that "I would  be robbing you of being friends on the show if I didn't give you this information".

"Over the weekend, I got engaged," Flavia said.

The cheerful co-hosts congratulated Ms. Tumusiime who appeared on the show with her engagement finger laced with a glittering diamond ring.

Flavia said the engagement was a beautiful surprise and she was dumbfounded & did cry.

"I look forward to the journey," she added.

She is dating Andrew Kabuura, a celebrated sports analyst and TV show host.

Flavia had earlier shared her engagement with her Instagram followers when she posted a photo of five drawn fingers captioned: "The end" -- with Kabuura's Instagram handle.
