Buganda Road Magistrate Court granted Jimmy Taylor a non-cash bail of UGX1m after presenting credible sureties.

The court also received his medical report from Nakasero Hospital. Taylor claimed that he had a stress disorder after his arrest.

What exactly happened?

A video of Taylor assaulting an employee of the Grand Imperial Hotel went viral on social media causing outrage among the netizens.

He was seen chanting racial slurs referring to the employee as a "n**ga bi**ch".

Taylor, who describes himself as a Vietnam war veteran and missionary, was arrested moments later and charged with assault.

He has been on remand at Luzira Maximum Prison.
