Property Network: New online real estate platform touted to ease transactions

The Property Network website which was officially launched on Wednesday evening is a product of Real Muloodi Advertising Ltd.

The platform is being touted as a meeting point for buyers, sellers, and dealers in all manner of property in Uganda.

Ms. Faith Sanyu, one of the Directors of Real Muloodi Advertising said the Property Network is also tailored for Ugandans working and living abroad, who have trouble looking for properties back home.

“It is mostly targeting clients in the diaspora who have been trying to get properties back home but it is difficult for them to navigate the internet for those properties,” Sanyu told the press at the site launch.

On the website, she said, buyers will be able to find all kinds of homes, condos, apartments, and land available for sale or rent.

“You will find the latest listed properties; the buyer can also customize the price range to see those that fit in their budget,” she said.

Customers will also find on the site, a customer success team that is available 27/7 to provide them with expert advice. They are also able to meet and interact with property agents and contact them directly to schedule property tours. Those who are far away can schedule video calls from the site.

Amy Johnson, Chairperson and CEO of Real Muloodi Advertising said several measures are being undertaken to guard against fraud which is commonplace in Ugandan property transactions.

To protect customers against properties locked in land wrangles, she said, the website will have a link to the Ministry of Lands title search database where one can directly check to ensure that the sellers have rights over the property.

“We also doing a lot of customer education in that regard and we are putting that education content on the site to help guard against things like Multiple titling of properties which is often perpetuated by brokers and dealers.”
