Kaguta Museveni, who turns 74 today, will address Ugandans from his State House in Entebbe on matters of security.

On Sunday 9th, he held a four-hour nation address focusing on youth unemployment, education, health, politics and the economy.

His address came barely a day after the assassination of maverick police officer Muhammad Kirumira in Bulenga, Wakiso District.

His national address coincides with his birthday as he turns 74.

The leader of the East African nation will use his address to reaffirm Ugandans about the security in the country.

Uganda's security has been a major concern and a section of opposition MPs have criticised the president for losing grip on protecting Ugandans.

Early this year, the kidnap and murder and women and children raised concern in the country as police registered 40 kidnaps and about 12 murders in less than four months.

Will he deliver the gift Ugandans expect from him?
