Major Nairobi city roads to be clossed for two weeks

The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced that two major city roads will be closed for two weeks.

In a public notice issued on Sunday and dated October 6, KURA announced that Kingara and Naivasha roads are each set for a one week closure. 

"We wish to inform members of the public and moreso motorists plying Kingara and Naivasha Road in Dagoretti that the two roads will be closed for one week each," read part of the notice signed by KURA Director-General Silas M. Kinoti.

First to be closed will be Kingara road will be closed from October 10 from 6 am to October 17 at 6 am.

Afterwards, Naivasha road will be closed from October 17 as from 6 am to October 24, at 6 am.

The authority further urged the public to avoid the said roads and use alternative roads.

Pedestrians and motorists will be barred from using the road to pave way for the relocation of services.
