Kasirye Ggwanga reportedly told Catherine Kusasira to report him to the president after shooting at her car
Retired Maj. Gen. Kasirye Ggwanga reportedly told musician Catherine Kusasira to report him to President Kaguta Museveni after shooting at her car.
Ggwanga is being probed by police authorities after he opened fire at the musician's car in Makindye, a Kampala suburb, on Tuesday.
Uganda Radio Networks reports that Kasirye Ggwanga told Kusasira -- a devoted supporter of Museveni's ruling party NRM -- to report him to the president.
The controversial soldier claims that the musician "acted with stupidity" when he tried to talk to her over loud music from her car.
What happened
Reports indicate that Ggwanga's children were buying groceries when occupants in Kusasira's car showed up playing loud music.
The children reportedly asked the occupants to lower the volume or they would call their father.
Kasirye later arrived and order the driver of the car to lower the volume -- but the driver reportedly said the retired soldier isn't above the law.
"Gwanga allegedly ordered his bodyguard to bring his AK-47 rifle from the vehicle and shot at the tyres of Kusasira's vehicle," according to Uganda Radio Network.
