Ugandas Pornographic Control Committee is intensifying its crackdown on circulation of pornographic content.
In its first ever crackdown since it was established in 2017, the committee has vowed to arrest 6 people, including socialites Judith Heard and Jack Pemba, whose sex videos went viral on the internet.
Other people include Lillian Rukundo, a one Shamim, Honey Suleman and police constable Esther Akol who serves in the Very Important Persons Protection Unit (VIPPU) of the police force.
The committee chairperson Annette Kezaabu made a revelation during an interview with a tri-weekly newspaper, The Observer.
She said enough evidence has been gathered to prosecute the 6 people whose naked pictures and videos circulated on social media.
She added that several police officers have been assigned with files to have these people arrested.
"Pemba sent us his lawyer to plead with us that when he comes, we do not embarrass him by arresting him at the airport. The lawyer said he wants to come and explain that he is not the one in the video," she sad.
Furthermore, the committee chairperson revealed that they are gathering evidence to pin singer Desire Luzinda whose nude pictures went viral mid 2017.
