Jowy Landa excited about first trip abroad; speaks out on clash with Sheebah

Landa, born Joan Namugerwa, couldn't hide her excitement talking about the upcoming trip, which is set for early next year.

“I am going next year to London for a concert,” Landa revealed in a media interview.

“This is going to be my first-ever flight and I am so excited that my first trip will be to such a great country.”

The singer says this is thanks to all the hard work she has put into her music this year, which has caught the attention of music lovers.

Landa has so far released 13 songs since the start of the year, more than half of which performed very well.

“We are very hardworking lately; we are releasing music and most of it is going big. The fans are loving my strategy,” she added.

Meanwhile, Landa also addressed the controversy surrounding her song ‘Akawowo’ featuring Jose Chameleone.

The song was first done by Sheebah Karungi and Chameleone (ostensibly when she was still under Jeff Kiwa, who is now Landa’s current manager) but it was never officially released.

Last month when Landa released the same song, fans especially on TikTok attacked her for stealing Sheebah’s song

In the interview, however, she explained that she had nothing to do with the song and that all the shots were being called by her boss Kiwa.

Besides, she explained that Sheebah never released that song on her platforms, which means that she recognized that it never belonged to her.

“Fans sometimes like to fight about things they don't understand,” she said

“The truth is that when I was told to do the song, I went to (Sheebah’s) pages and it was not there.”

Landah revealed that she will soon be revealing the song as the video shoot with Chameleone has already been completed.
