Mayende thanked the departing council in his goodbye speech for their dedication to the Institute and the field in Uganda.

"I sincerely appreciate the assistance provided to the Institute by the ICPAU members in a variety of ways. Since 2021, I'd like to thank the outgoing council for a job well done, and I'd also like to welcome the newly elected council members,” said Mayende.

He also congratulated the newly elected council members and thanked the ICPAU members for their support. Significant changes occurred during Mayende's period in office, including the introduction of fresh training curricula and the extension of ICPAU's regional reach.

He pointed out that Ossiya's election is a watershed moment for the ICPAU and a step forward in the direction of greater gender equality in the Ugandan accounting industry.

He came to the conclusion that she would serve as an inspiration for young women in the workforce and a steadfast supporter of inclusivity and diversity in the industry as the first woman to hold the office of president.
