Police in Kampala have arrested Charles Olim, better known as Sipapa in the social circles, for violating traffic rules with "impunity".
The socialite was driving without a driver's license and charged UGX100K fine, according to documents shared by Kampala Metropolitan Police.
Authorities have been on alert after the public raised concern over reckless driving by celebrities and government officials.
Sipapa has been low key ever since he was accused of beating his girlfriend and stealing her money.
The photos of her battered partner were shared numerous times on social media.
Police have warned motorists over road indiscipline and threaten to arrest the violators regardless of their social status.
President Museveni has previously advised police to ensure proper road code saying he has "heard investors complaining about reckless drivers in Uganda".
Last year, police relaunched its "Fika Salama" operation aimed at enforcing traffic discipline and regulations.
