Security operatives in Kampala have deployed outside the homes of some opposition figures ahead of Bobi Wine trial in the court-martial in Gulu, northern Uganda.

The move is aimed at blocking the opposition figures including, Kizza Besigye, Ingrid Turinawe, Erias Lukwago and Allan Ssewanyana, from travelling to Gulu.

Bobi Wine has already been flown to Gulu, according to UPDF spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire.

He faces charges of treason, unlawful possession of firearms and malicious damage of president's car.
